  15.      _r_a_r_p_d responds to Reverse Address Resolution Protocol (Reverse ARP, RARP)
  16.      requests.  It puts itself in the background, and requires root
  17.      privileges.

  19.      The Reverse ARP protocol is used by systems at boot time to discover
  20.      their 32-bit Internet Protocol (IP) address given their 48-bit Ethernet
  21.      address.  In order for a RARP request to be answered, the requesting
  22.      system's name-to-IP-address entry must exist in the /_e_t_c/_h_o_s_t_s file and
  23.      its name-to-Ethernet-address entry must exist in the /_e_t_c/_e_t_h_e_r_s file.
  24.      Note that if the server running _r_a_r_p_d is using the network information
  25.      service (NIS), the server's /_e_t_c files are ignored and the appropriate
  26.      NIS maps are queried.

  28.      Normally _r_a_r_p_d serves all configured IP interfaces which support
  29.      broadcasting.  Optional _i_n_t_e_r_f_a_c_e arguments restrict service to only
  30.      those interfaces.  The ----dddd option causes _r_a_r_p_d to run in the foreground
  31.      and log diagnostics on its standard error output.  The ----llll option causes
  32.      _r_a_r_p_d to record requests in _l_o_g_f_i_l_e.
